About Us

Southern Oregon Tattoo Academy is a premier tattoo school that provides hands-on education and training for aspiring tattoo artists. Our mission is to equip students with the skills, techniques, and industry knowledge needed to build a successful career in tattooing while upholding the highest standards of safety, artistry, and professionalism. We seek a Virtual Social Media Manager to grow and engage our online community, increase brand awareness, and manage digital communications.

📲 Social Media Management
  • Develop and implement a social media content strategy aligned with Southern Oregon Tattoo Academy’s brand and goals.
  • Create, schedule, and post engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Showcase student work, behind-the-scenes content, success stories, and industry trends.
  • Manage and grow social media communities by responding to comments, and messages, and engaging with followers.
  • Monitor trends, insights, and analytics to optimize content performance.
📧 Email Marketing & Newsletter Management
  • Draft and send the academy’s e-newsletter, ensuring compelling and valuable content for students and prospective students.
  • Plan, create, and execute email campaigns.
  • Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to optimize future campaigns.
🎯 Engagement & Community Social Media Management
  • Proactively engage with followers, answering questions and fostering discussions about tattooing and the academy.
  • Collaborate with students, alumni, and instructors to highlight success stories and testimonials.
  • Build relationships with industry professionals, influencers, and potential students.

📈 Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Analyze metrics and prepare reports on social media and email campaign performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies for better engagement and conversion.

Who You Are
  • Passionate about digital marketing, social media, and community engagement.
  • Skilled in content creation, graphic design (Canva, Adobe Suite is a plus), and copywriting.
  • Familiar with analytics tools and scheduling software 
  • Proactive, creative, and results-oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engagement tactics and community building.
  • Experience in the tattoo industry or creative fields is a plus.
  • Familiarity with paid social media advertising is a plus.

Compensation & Hours

💰 $25 -$30 per hour, based on experience.
