Job Description

The New Store Opening (NSO) Visual Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in driving the success of new retail locations by ensuring the seamless execution of the company’s visual standards. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of visual merchandising strategies during new store openings. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about creating visually compelling spaces that enhance the customer experience and align with the brand’s identity. 

What you'll get to do: 

New Store Openings: 

  • Lead the visual merchandising execution for new store launches, from concept to completion. 
  • Collaborate with the construction and store operations teams to ensure the store layout and design align with brand standards. 
  • Install displays, fixtures, and signage that reflect the company's seasonal and promotional strategies. 
  • Conduct walk-throughs to ensure all merchandising meets the brand’s visual guidelines before store opening and when hosting the groups review session.  
  • Ensure all products are represented in a visually appealing manner that drives sales and creates an engaging customer experience. 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional preferences to keep displays fresh and relevant. 
  • Oversee the selection, placement, and planting of live greenery to complement visual presentations and align with brand aesthetics. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Partner with store teams, inventory planners, and corporate channels to ensure alignment on merchandising strategies and priorities. 
  • Train in-store teams on visual standards, presentation techniques, and best practices for maintaining merchandising pre- and post-opening. (Virtually or in-person.) 

Logistics & Coordination: 

  • Coordinate and manage timelines for new store set-ups, ensuring efficient and effective execution. 
  • Organize and maintain merchandising tools, supplies, and fixtures. 
  • Manage visual merchandising budgets for store openings, tracking expenses and adhering to financial guidelines. 

Travel & Flexibility: 

  • Must be able to travel extensively to support new store openings in various locations. 
  • Work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays, to ensure timely execution of store openings. 
Qualifications

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.  
  • 3+ years of experience managing visual merchandising across multiple store locations and/or leading New Store Openings, with a focus on brand cohesion and impactful merchandise display. 
  • Ability to implement and adapt visual merchandising directives based on constructive feedback. 
  • 2+ years of expertise in fashion trends, color theory, and mannequin styling, with a proven ability to create displays that bring seasonal and thematic brand stories to life. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively. 
  • Knowledge of store window execution, vinyl installation, and basic hardware/tool use for visual maintenance. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time.

The salary range for this role is $69,000 per year - $85,000 per year.
