Job Description: Our client, a leader in the gaming industry, is looking for a Game Designer to partner with us as we build exciting casual games with a local multiplayer component. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects, while tracking feedback across multiple games. In this role, you'll work directly with game developers to give feedback on gameplay designs for casual content.

The opportunity to delight millions of gamers is massive, but it's also an ambiguous challenge. You will leverage your game design knowledge to help define and prioritize content for players. You'll work with world-class third-party game developers to assess and design great exclusive content. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and will collaborate with business development, engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders to resolve ambiguity and balance competing priorities.

Key Job Responsibilities Provide compelling vision and thought-leadership on games to peers and stakeholders. Generalize requirements (functional and technical) gathered from a diverse set of customers, industry trends, and larger technology trends. Determine minimum viable product requirements. Participate in strategy planning by developing (or helping to develop) marketing-related ideas into concepts and prototypes. Constantly stay up to date with products and services across the game industry. Drive key projects worldwide with complete independence. Work with developers to ensure your content and features are delivered to high quality.

Basic Qualifications 3+ years experience as a designer working in the game industry Experience working with third-party developers to build great content Experience creating and documenting high-quality design guidelines and development strategies Has shipped games across a variety of platforms on time and on budget A portfolio that demonstrates process and capabilities in crafting compelling gameplay Experience communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe products, and technical designs Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), Figma, Photoshop

Preferred Qualifications Casual gaming design experience BA, technical degree, or equivalent work experience Experience creating end-to-end game experiences In-depth knowledge of game theory and design best practices Experience building games in a wide variety of genres, for a variety of platforms Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with WebGL, and engine experience (Unity/Unreal)
