Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.

Summary:

Leads the creation and implementation of philanthropy communication materials that raise awareness and inform donors, potential donors, Office of Strategic Philanthropy (OSP) staff, volunteer leadership, and the general community about the fundraising needs of MetroHealth and how philanthropic contributions are being used. Manages content development through final production of projects, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery of digital and print content and publications. Provides tools and education to enable MetroHealth Foundation board members and OSP staff to become more self-sufficient stewards and story tellers of the MetroHealth mission and the impact of philanthropic giving. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System (MHS).

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing journalism, or a related filed, or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience in addition to the experience stated below: A minimum of seven (7) years of print, digital or editorial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of non-profit fundraising principles and donor motivations. Knowledge of data analytics to measure communication effectiveness. Experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies across multiple channels. Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and persuasive messaging. Excellent proofreading skills. Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to develop and cultivate working relationships both internally and externally. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Ability to work after hours if needed. Possesses a driven, adaptable, and purposeful demeanor. Possesses a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. Proficiency with digital and social media platforms. Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point and Excel) Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Experience in healthcare communications. Experience in web site content development. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
