Director of Marketing - CPG Industry

We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketingto lead national marketing initiatives for our brand in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. This full-time, in-office leadership roleis an excellent opportunity for a results-driven marketing manager eager to step into an operational leadership position. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to enhance brand awareness, drive sales, and increase market share. Lead and mentor a small internal marketing team, fostering a culture of focus, accountability, and creativity. Manage external contract marketing resources, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and at a high standard. Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including paid media, SEO, content strategy, and social media growth. Direct national campaigns, promotions, and product launches to strengthen brand positioning. Leverage AI tools and marketing automation to optimize performance and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with sales and product teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives. Track and report on key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve growth targets. Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver impactful marketing initiatives. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a marketing manager role within the CPG industry or a creative director role in an agency serving CPG clients. Strong digital marketing background, including experience with AI-driven marketing tools. Proven ability to develop and manage high-impact national marketing campaigns. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously. Experience managing and coordinating contract marketing resources for specialized projects. Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a collaborative mindset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives. Strong technology skills, including proficiency in: MS Office Suite Project management tools (Microsoft Planner/Project, ClickUp) Marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Alpine IQ) Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, CoPilot) Email marketing and customer loyalty platforms Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
