Role Mandate:
The selected candidate will be supporting the credit portfolio analysis and reporting automation needs of Client's North American Commercial Bank. The project will accelerate automation and streamlining of credit portfolio reports, leveraging expert skills in data discovery, dataset development and business intelligence solutions (e.g. Power BI visualizations, online automated reporting, etc.). The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to transition existing reports to more automated, streamlined solutions, including gathering requirements, solving data gaps and developing reporting solutions to meet the needs of stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Design and implement automated and efficient reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI) to meet business requirements and answer key business questions, based on existing offline, manual reports. Perform data discovery and dataset development to support report development and partner to implement new data sources, determine data gaps and/or answer data questions. Partner closely with stakeholders to outline/identify requirements. Partner closely with Dashboard team to apply standards and best practices and ensure high quality reporting Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
5+ yrs relevant data analysis and report development experience Strong knowledge of requirement gathering methods Demonstrated experience with report design and visualizations Comfortable in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and is a quick learner Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills Excellent critical thinking/analytical/problem solving and organizational skills; ability to analyze issues/requests and determine next steps Excellent written and oral communication skills General understanding of data and how it's used to inform business decisions; data-driven decision-making Stakeholder management Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc) Advanced Business Intelligence/Report Development skills (Dataset Design, Power BI preferred) Advanced Programming, Query, Modeling and Analytical Tool skills (SQL) Previous banking experience preferred
