Job Summary
Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.

Job Description The position reports to the Infusion Prior Authorization Pharmacy manager and the pharmacy system director for ambulatory infusion. Collaborates with a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to evaluate infusion medication requests and facilitate the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and time management skills, is able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follows-through on all assigned tasks, is accountable for assigned work metrics, and is committed to optimizing medication access for patients. Previous experience with completion of prior authorizations is preferred.
