Proper Hospitality is seeking a passionate Marketing Specialist to join our corporate team in Los Angeles.

Job Summary

The Marketing Specialist supports Proper Hospitality’s marketing efforts across our portfolio of luxury hotel properties. This role ensures the seamless execution of marketing initiatives by managing campaigns, updating property websites, liaising with PR agencies and coordinating approvals. The Specialist works collaboratively with marketing team members to maintain brand standards and drive growth while ensuring all deliverables are executed with precision and timeliness.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Project Management & Coordination

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the marketing team, ensuring timely execution of campaigns
  • Coordinate property-level creative requests from briefing to approvals and final delivery
  • Maintain and update marketing calendars to align initiatives across properties
  • Manage creative and copy approvals to ensure readiness for deployment

Website & Content Management

  • Update property websites with accurate content, including menus, photos, special offers, press updates, and happenings
  • Conduct regular audits of property websites to ensure functionality and relevance of content
  • Collaborate with SEO agencies to optimize website content for improved visibility
  • Resize and organize imagery for digital and print use, maintaining a well-structured asset library
  • Coordinate with on-property outlet owners to maintain accurate and updated GMB (Google My Business) listings for hotels and F&B outlets

Public Relations Support

  • Serve as the liaison between PR agencies and internal teams, managing asset and media kit requests
  • Track and compile earned media coverage, sharing results with stakeholders and maintaining archives of press mentions
  • Ensure press sections on websites are up-to-date and aligned with media strategies
  • Partner with social media managers to amplify PR efforts across digital platforms

Creative & CRM Assistance

  • Collaborate with the creative team to organize and manage photoshoots and marketing imagery
  • Support email marketing initiatives by ensuring accurate campaign content and subscriber data
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital and physical platforms, including OTA listings, event collateral, and email templates

Team Support

  • Manage file organization, vendor coordination, and general marketing operations tasks
  • Assist Marketing Managers in executing property-level campaigns, including email marketing and seasonal promotions

Education and/or Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or project coordination (hospitality experience preferred)
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify), CRM tools, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Revinate, Klaviyo, Cendyn)
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Monday.com, or Trello is a plus

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and task prioritization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Canva, and performance reporting tools like Google Analytics is a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO, GMB management, and digital content optimization
