Job Summary

Music Teacher

Community Learning Center Schools are hiring a Music teacher who is excited to educate in a diverse community and who celebrates differences in culture, background, learning style and thought process. Our teachers love to learn and and are motivated by challenge. This position will teach between Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) and Nea Community Learning Center (Nea) in the Middle and High Schools.

We educate learners in grades TK-8 grades at Nea and 6-12 grades at ACLC. We are proud of our charter school heritage and our model which allows for small class sizes, community engagement, and an abundance of staff development, meeting time and support. Our schools offer innovative, engaging, flexible and comprehensive curriculum that creates lifelong learners.

Requirements of the Position
Standard teaching position requirements
Working with learners of all socio-economic backgrounds and abilities
Standing, walking and bending as needed
Using technology including copier, laptop computer and projection devices
Ability to use and/or learn Jupiter, Powerschool, Zoom and other platforms
Ability to communicate with parents and learners in writing and in-person in a calm, clear and professional manner
Desire to collaborate with the community, including learners, parents, fellow staff, and management proactively to grow our school and to resolve potential issues quickly
