The overall purpose of the Marketing/Admissions position is to communicate the value of the facility to the community as well as providing accuracy of applications for patient admissions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs duties and responsibilities with assigned functional area within a nursing home facility which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:

1. Develop marketing materials needed for sales and promotion of the facility.
2. Cultivate referrals/inquiries through business development tactics.
3. Communicate the value of the facility to the community.
4. Send letters and/or information packets in response to inquiries about future potential patient admission.
5. Communicate in a positive manner to hospital discharge planners and build referral sources relationships.
6. Interview applicants and/or their representatives and complete applications for admissions.
7. Work with personnel to discuss placement when multiple beds are available.
8. Provide tours of the facility to the families of potential residents.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum one (1) year job experience in Marketing/Admissions position in a healthcare environment.
3. Comply with the Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
4. Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills.
5. Friendly, responsible, dependable, team oriented.
