Job Summary:
We are seeking a Contents Project Manager to oversee and manage the restoration of personal belongings affected by fire, water, mold, and other disasters. This role involves leading a team, coordinating logistics, working with insurance adjusters, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate has experience in content restoration, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution:
Oversee the entire contents restoration process, from initial assessment to final delivery.
Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Coordinate pack-outs, cleaning, storage, and return of contents to customers.
Ensure accurate documentation of inventory, including photos and condition reports.
Utilize restoration software to track and manage job progress.
Customer Relations & Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the restoration process.
Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, property owners, and team members.
Provide clear explanations of the restoration process and set proper expectations.
Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Training:
Supervise, train, and mentor Contents Technicians and Crew Chiefs.
Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of personal belongings.
Maintain quality control and enforce company standards on all restoration jobs.
Operational & Administrative Tasks:
Work with warehouse staff to ensure organized storage of customer belongings.
Maintain inventory of supplies and order necessary equipment for restoration.
Oversee compliance with safety protocols, including PPE use and OSHA standards.
Ensure all documentation, reports, and invoices are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field is a plus.
2+ years of experience in content restoration, mitigation, insurance claims, or a related industry.
Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in restoration software (e.g., DASH, Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Long periods of standing, walking, and working in warehouse or field conditions.
Exposure to various environments, including smoke-damaged and water-affected properties.
Occasional use of PPE, including respirators and full-body suits.
