Dewberry is seeking a
Model-Based Roadway Design Leader
in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. Responsibilities
Develop 3D roadway design models and lead the production of construction plans for projects ranging from major highway widening/interchange/reconstruction projects to local safety improvements
Lead training programs to improve the overall model-based design capabilities of the Florida transportation team
Oversee ORD technical/system implementations across the Transportation team
Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers developing roadway designs as well as other 3D modelling experts across the company
Potentially serve in Design Discipline Lead, Engineer-of-Record, and/or Project Manager roles, depending on project specifics and personal experience/background
Required Skills & Required Experience
Highly proficient with all aspects of 3D modelling and model-based design practices within Microstation Open Roads Designer
At least 5 years of roadway design experience and familiarity with roadway design criteria and plans production processes, preferably with FDOT
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred
EI or PE license preferred but not required
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Desire to lead and advance model-based design practices statewide for our Florida Transportation team
