Apparel Technical Designer/Pattern Maker . Position:

This role will be responsible for all aspects of the apparel process from design creation & pattern making to production while communicating with our overseas suppliers and factories This is a full-time position for a mid-level candidate who is meticulous, detailed, and driven by the technical aspect of the design process. We are searching for a passionate individual that is an out of box thinker who can collaborate with the existing team, outside vendors and across all levels of our organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with management to assist in new product development and existing product modifications. Work closely with PLM's to achieve product goals established to meet the market demands. Cultivate and manage the technical specification packages. Develop fit and production patterns in LECTRA MODARIS. Request, evaluate and approve all prototype, fit, PP and TOP samples to determine compliance of specs, construction, quality and design intent. Illustrate meticulous pattern corrections and style comments to communicate accurate & precise information to overseas vendors and production. Create markers for costing and production in LECTRA DIAMINO. Partner with Quality Control to review production garment(s). Conduct competitor analysis studies. Skills & Qualifications: Degree in apparel manufacturing, product development, apparel design related field or equal on the job experience 3+ years' experience as a Technical Designer Proficiency in electronic pattern systems Adobe Illustrator, PLM Systems, Modaris or Accumark Advanced knowledge of target design specs, POM's and grading Must have technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and tech pack General knowledge of cotton, polyester and spandex fibers, as well as, yarns, knits and woven Ability to machine sew development samples when needed Advanced ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure deliveries are met Proactive, self-motivated, advanced knowledge of how to delegate and still meet deadlines with "get it done" attitude Advanced attention to detail and mistakes and problem-solving skills Experience in Athletic team sports a "plus"
