While an art director comes up with creative concepts and a graphic designer executes them, it's the production designer who brings them to life. That's why solid typographic and layout skills, strict attention to detail, and outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills are a must. Ability to seamlessly switch back and forth from print to digital.

Primary Responsibilities:

The production designer job description often includes the ability to:

Collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors, designers, and developers

Prepare final files based on supplied specifications for several types of media across digital and print

Solid grasp of foundational design elements including type, layout, color, balance, grids, etc.

Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation

Able to quickly adjust color, text, size, digital imagery, and other details pertaining to document aesthetics

Develop and design layouts, inclusive of copy and images for sales collateral (PDF and PPT), digital ads, onsite promotional materials (banners, printed collateral), emails, etc.

Create layouts, and graphics for Company Website and other Social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn

Update existing presentations and collateral; design new ones, create branded collateral for client presentations and trade shows

Assist creative team with edits to digital asses (email, landing pages, content downloads)

Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping priority and urgency

5+ years of design and production experience

Figma experience (or Sketch - AdobeXD)

Experience in modular design system (configurable print)

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

JavaScript and CSS experience

Solid background with digital design and print design

Solid understanding of design principles, printing specifications & procedures, photo editing, and illustration

Proven to be a self-starter who knows what needs to be done and operates with urgency, focus, and discipline

Proven eagerness to try (and adopt) new applications and working methods

Proven dedication to delivering great work and an eye for detail

Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to adhere to brand standards and guidelines

Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualification:

Agency or in-house agency experience

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
