Here, you'll advance your skills to design, develop, and produce a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that support the Department of Defense .
As a communications specialist on our team, you'll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to enable them to effectively communicate their objectives, challenges, and initiatives.
As a collaborator on all aspects of oral and written communications, you'll generate a range of media products from annual reports, fact sheets, briefs, talking points, and newsletters, to web site content, articles, and social media content .
Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through various types of media formats.

You Have: Experience in strategic or organizational communications, including social media, journalism, or public affairs
Experience with communication strategies and plans
Ability to conduct stakeholder outreach and communication
Ability to process and analyze information from multiple sources
Ability to identify communication challenges and provide innovative solutions that engage and resonate with target audiences
Ability to use Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have: Experience with developing public affairs media products and external communication products including videos, updates, photos, and news articles
Experience measuring communication effectiveness with quantitative and qualitative metrics
Knowledge of DoD prepublication and security review (DOPSR), Public Affairs, and Legislative Affairs processes and policies
TS/SCI clearance
Master's degree
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
