Job Summary
The job assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. It involves collecting, inputting, and verifying prescription, refill, and patient information.
About the Role This position will report to the Infusion Prior Authorization Pharmacy manager and the pharmacy system director for ambulatory infusion. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients. Responsibilities Evaluate infusion medication requests and facilitate the prior authorization process. Work with a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to complete tasks efficiently. Be accountable for assigned work metrics and follow-through on all assigned tasks. Commit to optimizing medication access for patients. Requirements SC pharmacy technician license in good standing. 2 years of experience preferred.
