Anchor-reporters are the on-air voices of the network, as well as the content providers of written stories, audio and newscasts for affiliate clients statewide, and in some cases, regionally or nationally.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develops radio broadcast content by covering breaking news events in person or a series of phone interviews strategies for a statewide audience. Produce and anchor hourly radio newscasts, podcasts and various web products. Research, write, and publish news stories to various websites and social media platforms. Interact with affiliate stations throughout the state to gather news and serve their need for newscasts, including interviews and special reports. Create digital photos and video. Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in journalism or closely related field. 2+ years experience working at a radio or TV network Relevant Experience may be substituted for Education Requirements Proficiency in most up-to-date digital audio editing tools Experience in radio studio operations Audio field production - both live and taped College-level writing and editing abilities Knowledge of government (or sports) systems.
