Accounts Payable Specialist role in Montrose, Colorado

Healthcare organization in Montrose is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team. This Accounts Payable Specialist role is fully on-site reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Accounts Payable Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable with accuracy, processing up to 350 invoices per week, including 3-way matching when needed.
• Assist with managing the accounts payable inbox, ensuring approvals are routed promptly and efficiently.
• Perform vendor reconciliations
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues, address inquiries, and build trust with vendors.
• Organize and maintain records to ensure compliance and easy accessibility.
• Support the team with additional accounts payable responsibilities as needed.

Accounts Payable Specialist Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in a fast-paced Accounting environment.
• A natural problem solver who enjoys researching and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
• Detail-oriented with a knack for organization and accuracy.
• A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.

Additional information for the Accounts Payable Specialist role:

• Monday to Friday schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility and minimal overtime in a business-casual environment
