Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align accounting practices with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Support General Manager around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including but not limited to inventory management (Variance and analysis), capital spending, operational reports and expenses and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting operations.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and safeguard company assets.

  • Month-end closing functions for multiple distributions centers.


    • Review journal entries
  • Sign off on bank account reconciliations
  • Review of sales and intercompany reconciliations
    • Investigate unusual transactions and balances in the GL and subledger reports
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Coordinate training programs to keep the team updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Utilize technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support pricing /rebate / recovery request process
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external audits and respond to audit findings promptly
  • Monitor compliance with company policy and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.
  • Periodically evaluate performance of all employees in compliance with company policy (at least annually)
  • Other duties as assigned
