Position Overview:

Reporting to the President, Disney Consumer Products, this individual will develop and execute comprehensive global marketing strategies that drive business growth, enhance brand value and deliver exceptional consumer experiences across our diverse product portfolio. Accountability will span across our regional and global Licensing teams, as well as our Games, Publishing and Retail businesses helping to create ongoing consumer demand for our brands across key target audiences. This role requires a visionary leader who can leverage Disney's iconic brands while pioneering innovative marketing approaches in an evolving digital landscape. This individual will be expected to lead cross-segment, highly matrixed marketing teams in the development of integrated cross functional plans and will partner closely with both internal stakeholders such as Corporate Brand Management, Franchise and Studio Partners, PR and various Marketing Centers of Excellence across the company, as well as external stakeholders such as Licensees and Retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and go-to-market strategies that maximize the business across key categories and licensees in alignment with the global brand playbooks.
  2. Act as the senior leader and key partner for DCP marketing strategies to internal teams, content providers and other Walt Disney Company functional partners as it pertains to tent-pole support and marketing initiatives.
  3. Strong relationships with third-party licensees to ensure marketing dollars are being directed to drive incremental revenue and ROI.
  4. Collaborate on brand/franchise/marketing growth targets for strategic planning and AOP, collaborating with regional/functional partners on planning and execution efforts.
  5. Define and oversee a fully-integrated DCP marketing budget and resources to drive awareness and ROI.
  6. Drive alignment on target consumer needs with business opportunities while continuing to identify future consumer opportunities, shaping product and experience development.
  7. Oversee global marketing operations, including brand management, digital marketing, consumer insights, and marketing analytics.
  8. Subject matter expert on the consumer products business including consumer demographics, specific markets, consumer segments and target audiences to assess performance achieve growth goals.
  9. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness, driving data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics and consumer insights.
  10. Oversee the selection and management of marketing agency partnerships.
  11. Serve as the guardian of Disney's brand integrity within the Consumer Products space.

Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 10 years in senior marketing leadership roles.
  2. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for global consumer brands; knowledge and experience in the gaming space a benefit.
  3. Demonstrated experience in digital transformation and modern marketing technologies.
  4. Strong background in consumer insights, brand management, and marketing analytics.
  5. Experience managing significant marketing budgets and driving ROI.
  6. Ability to foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence while leading and mentoring a diverse, global marketing organization.
  7. Proven success developing and retaining top marketing talent.
  8. Excellence in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $309,800.00 to $415,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
