2025 WCVB Summer Internship Program

The 2025 WCVB Summer Internship Program offers a variety of opportunities for students entering or currently in their junior or senior years at an accredited community college, college, or university. The program runs for 10–12 weeks, requiring a commitment of 24 hours per week, with flexible scheduling depending on the department.

  • A Letter of Recommendation from a professor specifically for the WCVB Internship Program.
  • Creative Works/Writing Samples, relevant to your areas of interest.
  • Intern applications are limited to one submission based on area of interest.

Broadcast Technical Operations

The Engineering Department is responsible for all equipment under the observation of tech staff members. You will be exposed to real world, daily technical operations/challenges in a television station. This program will be designated for students to gain additional training in specialized engineering fields. This program provides extensive training in equipment. 

  • Control Room/Studio Operations (Floor Direct, Robos, Audio, Technical Direct)
  • Air Operations (Master Control/Air Assist)
  • ENG (Electronic News Gathering) Receive
  • Information Technology

Note: There will be a mandatory intern orientation prior to your official first day of work.
