ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT MARKETING . Reporting to the Senior Director of Recruitment & Global Partnerships, the Assistant Director of Admissions is accountable for recruiting, admitting, and enrolling new undergraduate students. The Assistant Director is responsible for assigned recruitment territories, comprising local, national, transfer, and international students. The assistant director will travel both regionally and internationally. The role involves actively attracting new students, being the main contact for potential students and their families, assessing admission applications, and assisting students throughout the enrollment process. Additionally, the Assistant Director serves as a liaison with key institutional or external partners. Additionally, under the direction of the Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing Communications, the Assistant Director works closely with the Enrollment Marketing Communication team to draft copy for use in email, printed materials, web pages, and social media. Conduct final proofread/fact-check for all electronic and printed materials prior to publication. Duties & Responsibilities Manage the assigned recruitment territory and implement recruitment strategies for high school, transfer, and international students. Serve as an admissions liaison for prospective students; evaluate applications and oversee the process and documentation for completeness and accuracy to make final admissions decisions. Establish and strengthen relationships with key institutional or external partners through regular contact and targeted follow-up communication. Aid in developing strategy and potential programming for key institutional or external partners and lead the execution of strategy and programming. Mentor assigned admissions officer(s) to help execute strategy and potential programming for key institutional or external partners. Serve as subject matter experts in the Admissions Office regarding assigned institutional or external partners. Maintain knowledge of the college's graduate programs and admissions processes, and assist with coverage of graduate recruitment events, as needed. Serve as the primary contact on financial aid for new families through the point of enrollment; direct families to the Financial Aid office, as needed. Contribute to the development and/or execution of effective recruitment and marketing programs and materials to meet or exceed enrollment goals. Maintain consistent contact with students, parents, and influencers via phone calls, email, and other methods as required, and participate in all yield activities for assigned territory. Facilitate and coordinate campus and departmental visits and activities. Develop, maintain, and communicate program-specific information and programming to key institutional and external partners. Working with the Enrollment Marketing Communications team, draft marketing and/or communications copy for all channels, including but not limited to web, email, social, and printed materials based on templates to enhance student experience and support enrollment growth. Conduct final proofread/fact-check for all electronic and printed materials prior to publication. Participate in strategic communication campaigns designed to attract and yield students. Provide in-office support for daily campus tours, individual appointments, and more, as needed. Maintain thorough knowledge of all College programs, including academic and extracurricular programs. Actively participate in meetings to ensure current and new or modified policies, processes, and recruitment campaigns are effectively communicated and executed. Assist in facilitating the seamless onboarding of new employees in the Office of Admissions. Represent the Admissions Office at community events as needed and engage in public speaking. Perform special projects and/or other related duties, as assigned or required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or another related field. At least three years of college student recruitment experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Valid driver's license. Experience with CRM systems or software (e.g., Slate) and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong commitment to working with college students from diverse backgrounds. Detail-oriented focus with the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with little supervision. Strong and dynamic interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to represent Columbia College Chicago with integrity and enthusiasm, communicating effectively with key internal and external constituents, prospective students, families, and others. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially in sensitive or confidential matters such as student records, personnel, or organizational issues. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. Ability to demonstrate courtesy and respect in interactions with internal and external constituents. Ability to work weekends, extended workdays, and/or overnight travel, as required. Compensation Position Minimum Hourly Rate or Annual Salary: $54,000 Position Maximum Hourly Rate or Annual Salary: $64,800 The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education, and other factors including department budget. Additional Information Position subject to a background screening.
