As a Sr. Product Designer in the Product group at UpMetrics, you will lead end-to-end UX/UI design for our core products, from research through implementation, contributing to feature improvements and designing entirely new features and product lines. Your research will directly impact product strategy through a deep understanding of our market, user needs, and behaviors. Throughout the development cycle, you will work closely with a product manager and engineering lead as a peer and deliver work as part of a development pod. We are looking for a highly engaged, self-organizing, high autonomy individual to take genuine ownership of their product designs. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get more visibility into the business of product development and form product design ideas before the product development lifecycle begins, while remaining focused on product design and knowing your work will have an impact on the world. Responsibilities Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesis to inform product decisions Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs Define and implement UX/UI patterns and design systems Collaborate with PM and the design team on product strategy and execution Collaborate with the engineering team on product development, building and maintaining design artifacts Drive user research, design sprints, and workshops to solve complex problems Drive the use of personas in product development Develop and maintain a deep domain knowledge of our market and its personas About You Required qualifications: 4 years of product design experience, with formal training and/or certification in UX / product design or related discipline Experience in B2B, SaaS Strong attention to user personas throughout the design process Portfolio demonstrating the end-to-end design process with your thoughts that highlights attention to detail and craft. High technical experience with Figma advanced functionality High degree of creativity and problem-solving Strong conceptual and analytical skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Extremely comfortable with driving user research using various methodologies Track record of shipping successful products Practical experience working with product managers and software engineers on new or ongoing products in an agile/scrum environment Not required but what would make you stand out Practical experience designing products that involve the use of collecting, analyzing, and reporting data Strong familiarity with the operations of grant management, nonprofits, and social impact organization operations as an insider/operator UpMetrics Values Our company values influence everything we do, from our work inside the office to how we choose our partners: Team First — Collaboration is key. The first design exercise involves a 10-minute presentation in which you critique a product of your choice and then answer questions about it – you will prepare this ahead of time. The second design exercise is a 1-hour live design exercise in which you work with a PM to solve a design problem using a combination of Figma/Figjam – no preparation is required and the design problem will not be related to any UpMetrics projects.
