WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, has an opening for a

NH Chronicle Executive Producer

who knows how to produce meaningful and memorable content for all of WMUR’s platforms. A successful candidate will have creative vision, self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and experience making decisions and communicating a plan to a team. You will help manage finding, researching, writing and producing compelling long-form programming that can range from light features to hard news. Knowledge of the people, places and things that make New Hampshire special is a plus! You will report to New Hampshire Chronicle’s Senior Executive Producer.

Responsibilities

Researching and developing story ideas: Pitch story ideas for shows and segments, and research stories to suit the audience. Field Produce: Accompany videographers, conduct interviews, and capture video and photos. Coordinating Production: Find and schedule shooting locations, oversee on-location shooting, log video, and acquire additional video and still photographs to enhance the story. Logging and managing footage: Logging and cataloging interview footage. Writing scripts: Write scripts for segments and shows. Collaborating with editors: Work closely with editors to create polished programs. Digital Content Creation: Manage and create resources for all of WMUR’s digital platforms. Update digital platforms regularly. Requirements

Professional or college producing experience. Experience working in a newsroom and in the field. Writing and copy-editing skills. Coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously. Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements. Have and exhibit the highest journalistic integrity and ethical standards. Must be available to work some holidays and shifts including nights and weekends. Related military experience will be considered. In-person attendance is required. Diversity Statement
