Associate Vice President at Orion Engineers & Associates Orion Engineers & Associates (Orion) is a multi-faceted civil engineering and construction management firm founded primarily to serve the aviation market. Orion specializes in pavement design, airfield engineering, design, and construction administration at large and medium hub airports. Orion Engineers & Associates is seeking candidates with a background in civil site development projects to develop project plans reporting to our Honolulu, HI office. The position involves civil design/drafting of airport infrastructure including runways, taxiways, aircraft aprons, airfield electrical improvements, drainage, grading, and other such airport civil infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide services related to project plan production, including Civil 3D. Daily responsibilities would include Civil 3D surface modeling, AutoCAD plan production, and drafting of presentation exhibits. The candidate will collaborate with Senior Airport Engineers and Project Managers in preparing engineering plans and documents and providing contract plan changes during construction. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or other related engineering degree applicable to graphic design and/or AutoCAD. 2-5 years post graduate experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD or a related graphic design field. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office 365. Able to pass TSA Security Screening and Background Check for working at commercial airports. Able to travel domestically and internationally. Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel on a frequent basis. Desired Qualifications Well-organized and able to manage and prioritize numerous tasks to ensure a commitment to project delivery and quality management. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrate ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
