About the role Responsible for leading IT service ownership and technology modernization efforts. This includes responsibility for strategic planning, solution design, service ownership, and the proactive evolution of IT infrastructure services to align with business growth and operational excellence. Oversees a team of consisting of Solution Architects and Solution Engineers, covering areas such as Cloud & Colo, Connectivity, Digital Workplace, Directory Services, Database & Data Platforms, Enterprise Collaboration, and Contact Center.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic IT Service Design & Build
Define and drive the IT infrastructure service strategy, design, and build roadmap to align with business priorities and operational excellence. Establish and maintain service ownership for IT platforms, ensuring a structured service roadmap and lifecycle management to prevent reactive operations. Lead proactive modernization efforts to keep IT services current, avoiding conflicts with business growth initiatives. Ensure a balance between technology innovation, cost optimization, and risk mitigation. Service Ownership & Lifecycle Management
Develop and implement a framework for service lifecycle management, ensuring structured and predictable updates, upgrades, and technology health initiatives. Improve proactive service and feature release management to enhance IT's ability to support business agility and innovation. Align IT service management standards with business needs while ensuring operational stability. Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Architects and Solution Engineers. Foster collaboration across IT and business units to ensure effective service delivery and technology adoption. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional integration. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of IT leadership experience in IT infrastructure, service design, and technology transformation. Deep experience in service ownership, technology modernization, and service lifecycle planning. Strong knowledge of enterprise IT platforms, cloud infrastructure, connectivity, and digital workplace solutions. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex IT service initiatives. Preferred:
AWS/Azure Cloud Certifications. AI and Machine Learning Certifications. SAFe or Agile Certifications (if DevOps/Agile transformation is a focus).
The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois): $131,991.00 - $245,127.00 per year
The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for commission.
