The Marketing Team plans and executes the strategy for promoting WFIU and WTIU's events, fundraising initiatives, and award-winning locally produced content, including radio, television, and digital series, podcasts, and news. In addition to local content, the Marketing Team also promotes the national NPR and PBS programs that are aired on WFIU and WTIU, respectively.
Job Summary
The Multimedia Associate Producer reports directly to the Multimedia Producer and aids the producer in creating promotional video and audio material for WTIU and WFIU. This position supports branding and promotional efforts of multiple WFIU/WTIU departments, including membership, corporate development, news, documentaries, local television, and radio programs across multiplatform distribution.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Create and edit on-air promotions for WFIU/WTIU documentaries, local series, local news, development initiatives (membership, corporate development, and major gifts), events, and special projects.
- Produce and edit video and audio for WFIU/WTIU social media content and digital and broadcast ads.
- Coordinate on-air promos for PBS National Program Schedule and deliver to WTIU Traffic Department.
- Co-brand national on-air promos with local station logos and fonts.

EDUCATION
Required
- Currently completing a bachelor's degree in broadcast media, journalism, liberal arts, or a related field
Required
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University

- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Audition or other comparable video and audio editing software

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation. This position requires intense concentration for extended periods within a busy office environment and involves constant use of computers and detailed reading. May require moving equipment up to 40 pounds.
Equipment Utilized - Computer (Mac platform), Adobe Production Suite, Digital Video Camera(s), Three-Point Lighting, and Field Audio Equipment.

Bloomington, Indiana
This position is eligible for remote work, subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$12.50 per hour to start, with the opportunity to progress in a pay 2 times per year (opportunities going into fiscal year start in July and mid-year in January).
Progression pay plans for this part-time position are currently:
Level 1: $12.50 per hour
Level 2: $13.25 per hour
Level 3: $14.00 per hour
Level 4: $14.75 per hour
Level 5: $15.50 per hour
Level 6: $16.25 per hour
Level 7: $17.00 per hour
Level 8: $17.75 per hour
Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
This position may require occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work.
The hours of the position are split so that 70 percent of the hours are dedicated to WTIU, and 30 percent are dedicated to WFIU.
