SUMMARY
The UI/UX Developer is responsible for the User Experience, design, look-and-feel of ProTrans applications. This position is able to combine business requirements, user habits, and design heuristics, and translate them into a visual organization of screens and functions that allow ProTrans employees, customers, and associated stakeholders to complete their work in an elegant and simplified manner. The UI/UX Developer possesses both a broad range of technical and creative skills that are applied to the challenge of building a world class suite of TMS-related applications.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
All applicants must have sufficient knowledge of the following technologies:
Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design or related field.
3+ years in Web Design, Graphic Design or related field.
All applicants must provide examples of web design work and examples of design hand off documentation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Some Spanish language aptitude is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to deal with personnel with diverse ethnic background. Advanced problem solving skills a must. Advanced writing and verbal communications skills. Advanced time management and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Description/Responsibilities
- Develop prototype designs, theme motifs, mock-ups, site maps, and storyboards as required to provide key stakeholders and end users with an understanding of potential design options.
- Interview key/end users for insight into design requirements.
- Create template pages and interface screens with appropriate interface requirements.
- Create Design Hand Off documentation, strategies, workflows, or other items as appropriate for development team to ensure the correct design is produced and the intended functionality is achieved.
- Develop application design and usability strategies, guidelines, and standards.
- Actively promote design standards to ensure seamless user experience on desktop, mobile, or any related applications.
- Investigate and promote UI/UX principals and frameworks
- Create, test and debug user interfaces

- In-depth knowledge of one or more current web mark-up or scripting languages such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript Extensive experience with two or more desktop publishing/imaging applications such as Photo Editing (Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro), Drawing (Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw), Page Layout (Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe XD), Presentation (MS PowerPoint, Astound), Multimedia (Macromedia Director, Flash, streaming audio and video), Others (Adobe Distiller/Exchange, GifConverter, 3D Studio)
- Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of Perl, C/C++, CGI, and/or SQL
- Skills in requirements gathering, designing, troubleshooting, and supporting users
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to effectively manage time, and communicate clearly
- Ability to maintain a customer focus in providing technology services
