Summary: As a member of our Worldwide Product Marketing group, you’ll represent the customer throughout a product’s journey from concept through development and launch. You’ll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our product-development process. Together with our team, you’ll work to craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products that excite the world. At Apple, we combine product management, product development, and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross-functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales, and support for maximum impact across the organization. Today, we are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to build on our rich music apps legacy by growing our important community and artist empowerment initiatives. The scope of this role is broad and will benefit from an individual with both music business and music creation industry knowledge. You would be expected to bring to the position your established industry relationships and experience working with top recording artists, producers, and management teams. You will be a key liaison with multiple groups across the Apple ecosystem to establish program strategies and marketing campaigns to support outreach.
Description: Engage with Apple’s vibrant user community by connecting with artists, producers, songwriters, and multidisciplinary creatives across various genres and levels of growth. Lead evangelism efforts for Apple’s creative apps and content products across macOS, iPadOS, iOS, and WatchOS. Act as an advocate for creatives within Apple by communicating their needs and perspectives to the broader organization - serving as their voice to engineering and design. Plan and implement comprehensive social media strategies, including content calendars and campaign goals. Craft compelling stories, copy, images, and engaging video materials as part of sustained marketing campaigns on social media and web. Help lead, manage, and produce content with top agencies and partners. Lead efforts to identify and establish content opportunities for both audio and video as part of Apple’s successful Sound Library - Sound Packs, Producer Packs, and Artist Sessions. Analyze user feedback and integrate key insights back to product development and marketing teams. Travel domestically and internationally. Launch products worldwide in conjunction with marketing communications, public relations, and events teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years Product Management, Product Marketing, Program Strategy, or Artist Relations experience with a focus on professional creative products.
- Strong knowledge of Logic Pro.
Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of GarageBand (macOS, iPadOS, iOS), Voice Memos (WatchOS, iOS, iPadOS, macOS), and professional music production workflows including writing, recording, editing, and mixing.
- Hands-on experience developing and producing short and long-form video content.
- Active eyes and ears across a broad variety of current and emerging music genres.
- A proven understanding of major social platforms, trends, analytics, competitive analysis, and supporting tools for social.
- Experience working directly with agencies, external partners, and talent to collaborate on marketing efforts.
- Demonstrate ability to develop compelling talking points and stories about new technologies for a wide audience including customers, media, analysts, and industry experts.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills including previous experience with media.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Experience championing new ideas, product proposals, and recommendations to senior executives and other important collaborators.
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to dig in and go the extra mile to deliver world-class product experiences and marketing materials.
- BA/BS degree, or MBA preferred.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
