ABOUT THIS ROLE
BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our rapidly growing Sports Business team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone starting their PR career who has an interest in supporting teams, leagues and companies looking to grow their fan bases, expand their physical and digital footprints and grow the industry beyond traditional borders. You will support clients across football, soccer, baseball and more as they look to navigate an ever evolving sports industry landscape. You’ll be part of a fast-paced team of professionals supporting a variety of strategic communications plans by owning media relations, project management and writing tasks.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis, in-office 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
As an Account Coordinator on the Sports Business team, you will...
- Support the day-to-day on projects and collaborate with colleagues to advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts
- Contribute creative ideas, conduct research and support writing for strategic communications
- Curate press lists, draft client call agendas, capture call notes and support the team with everything from in-depth media analyses and research to event staffing
- Pull together client-facing documents (media alerts, press releases, fact sheets, briefing documents, research packets, etc.)
- Monitor the media to identify opportunities to insert our clients into the news cycle
- Build and maintain press lists that demonstrate a strong understanding of the reporters and outlets covering our clients' issues
- Conduct strategic and thorough media outreach, liaising with reporters to land or shape stories for our clients
- Help manage workflow and project management for your account teams
Essential skills:
- Internship or other relevant work experience in public relations, media relations, journalism or a related field
- Has an interest in professional sports
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with reporters at top-tier outlets
- Adept at communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients and the media
- High level of organization, attention to detail and an ability to multitask
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team to meet group objectives
- Proficient in Google Suite, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
WORKING AT BERLINROSEN
Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary for this role is $64,350.
