Position Title: Freelance Digital Tech
Reports To: Sr. Photographer
Assignment Clarification:
This position/assignment is a temporary (HR to confirm specific range of dates.) You will be considered an employee of System One, our 3rd party partner of our contractor population, and/or of your specific freelance agency.
Freelance Digital Technician - AEO Photo Studio:
The Digital Technician is responsible for supporting photo-shoots across On-Figure Product sets in this fast paced, high volume digital studio environment. This role will help to create, traffic, coordinate, and catalog all photography assets across digital and print, ensuring smooth
day-to-day photography operations. The Digital Tech will be adaptable, highly organized, possess excellent communication skills and be able to thrive in a very team-oriented environment. This role is also required to assist in other areas of the studio when needed.

- Support photographer with prepping and breaking down the set for the day
- Oversight of Capture One on-set; checking for proper ISA, Camera format, ICC profile and processing images according to our standards
- Serve as second eye to the Photographer by regularly checking for focus and ensure color consistency, color balance, exposure, and curves on all images
- Assisting photographer in problem solving issues with the camera, computer, software programs, and lighting power packs/strobes
- Maintaining the workflow that insures completing the daily production requirements
- Serve as the liaison between the post team and the on set team for facilitating image edits, missing images, managing on set exceptions to images for timely correction and processing urgent files as per request
- Work with Studio Coordinator to ensure upkeep of the studio equipment
- Undertaking other duties as may be required to ensure the smooth running of the business
- Attends meetings as necessary as well as other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BFA in Photography, or Arts related field
- Knowledge of photographic techniques such as lighting and composition
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
- Productivity-focused and quick problem solver with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Self-driven and enthusiastic work ethic that is able to effectively communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a multi-team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
- 2+ years of on-set experience as an Assistant or Digital Tech / Photographer's Assistant, preferably in fashion or related field
- Expert level proficiency with the industry standard software tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canon Camera Systems, and Capture One Pro 9 and above) and Mac OS
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to perform under pressure

- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location
