What are we looking for?
We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic design team. As a key member of our product development process, you will have the opportunity to design intuitive, visually compelling, and user-centric experiences for a range of products across the Web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user experiences are not only functional but also delightful. Responsibilities:
- Interview Product Managers, stakeholders and users to understand goals and preferences for software applications.
- Design application user experiences using methods such as wireframes, information architecture, prototypes, and others.
- Apply appropriate metrics and customer insight to the creative process.
- Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile interfaces.
- Present UX designs to stakeholders, users and development teams in formal and informal settings.
- Stay current with new UX developments and techniques.
- Test applications for usability, in partnership with stakeholders and users.
- Work in our Agile/Scrum environment, participating in and contributing to the ceremonies and processes (daily stand-ups, code reviews, sprint retrospectives, etc.) that keep the process continually improving.
- Work on a development team which may include other technical professionals, subject matter experts, project stakeholders and executive leadership.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills in both user experience and user interface design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, with experience conducting user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Solid understanding of design systems and their implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business needs with user needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think creatively, take initiative, and be self-driven while working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in creating designs for both desktop and mobile platforms, with a deep understanding of mobile-first design principles.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to design for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with user analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar to derive insights and refining designs.
- Experience with design for SaaS products, enterprise software, or other complex systems is a plus.
- A proactive attitude, with a keen interest in learning new skills and staying ahead of industry trends.
Compensation, Benefits and Duration
- Minimum Compensation: USD 49,000
- Maximum Compensation: USD 173,000
- Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
- Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
- This position is available for independent contractors.
