Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Laurel, MD is seeking a passionate Afterschool Visual Arts Instructor to join our vibrant team. Our center is a hub for creativity and growth, where young minds are nurtured to express themselves through art. As an instructor, you will inspire and guide our students in exploring various art forms, fostering their creativity and self-expression. Responsibilities

•Develop engaging visual arts lesson plans for afterschool programs catering to different age groups and skill levels.
•Purpose: To foster creativity and artistic expression among young students.
•Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
•Purpose: To ensure a productive and safe space for students to explore their artistic abilities.
•Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their artistic skills and techniques.
•Purpose: To support student growth and development in visual arts.
•Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate and participate in art exhibitions and showcases.
•Purpose: To showcase students' work and celebrate their artistic achievements.
•Evaluate student progress and performance through assessments and feedback to adapt teaching methods and materials as needed.
•Purpose: To track student development and tailor instruction to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field
•Experience in lesson planning for visual arts curriculum
•Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young students
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Legal authorization to work in the US
