The result was the 2020 genre-defining hit The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. We are currently working on several highly anticipated VR games for emerging platforms that we can’t wait for you to play.
Skydance is looking for an experienced software engineer skilled in creating robust, performant and flexible UI solutions to enhance and streamline the player’s experience for an unannounced project.
Requirements
- The role consists of working with game and system design teams to validate their user experience approach and provide implementation to fulfill the needs of the user interface design.
- As the senior UI engineer you would be expected to build robust UI frameworks that support the design team while also meeting the needs of the project.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining UI/UX engineering solutions for video games or similar real time applications.
- High proficiency with C++ with proven software engineering skills.
- Self-motivated and self-directing, willing to pitch in areas of development beyond direct responsibilities.
- Experience providing feedback and guidance to other engineers - helping them stay on track and true to the overall vision of the game.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with internal and external development teams/partners.
Plusses
- Experience working with Unreal Engine and its UI frameworks.
- Deep understanding of concepts and guidelines for UI/UX development.
- Ability to analyze the problem, break down to actionable steps and produce implementation plan.
The salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $150,000 – $170,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
