The localization teams bring local relevance to Apple’s global services through best-in-class localization support. We are looking for an open minded, innovative and tech-savvy individual to support the Apple Services Localization team. This role will be primarily focused on localization quality assurance while working closely with the Localization Producer to ensure the integrated execution of localization projects. Linguistic, technical, and interpersonal skills are key to successfully leading our QA efforts across 50+ languages simultaneously.

Description

  1. Plan and manage end-to-end localization projects to ensure the timely delivery of features and editorial content with the highest quality, while adhering to stringent security and confidentiality requirements.
  2. Lead all aspects of QA task prioritization and create detailed localization requirement documents, such as mapping docs and test plans.
  3. Collaborate across localization teams to build and maintain glossaries and reference materials to ensure consistency across Apple’s ecosystem (software, marketing, support, etc.).
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to define the best localization strategies for both new and existing brands.
  5. Contribute to project kick-offs and quality analysis meetings.
  6. Track, address, and raise issues while proactively managing risks and effectively communicating status updates throughout development cycles.
  7. Act as the primary point of escalation for queries from translators, testers, and localization peers, providing ongoing localization QA support and feedback.
  8. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in tools and processes to drive continuous improvements.
  9. Implement and foster globalization, internationalization, and localization best practices.
  10. Work closely with the Localization Producer to ensure localization workflows integrate both project planning and quality validation.
  11. Support project management when needed, assisting in coordinating resources, tracking localization achievements, and ensuring QA efforts align with broader project goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in localization project management and/or localization quality testing.
  • Technical understanding of software development and QA cycles.
  • Hands-on experience with localization CMS, CAT/MT/ML tools, task and resource management platforms, and bug tracking systems.
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and negotiate terms as needed.

Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

  • A proactive and independent problem solver who can evaluate existing workflows, find opportunities for improvement, and explore new processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with QA automation scripts and protocols.
  • Understanding of internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR.
  • Experience developing in Swift and Python or other programming languages such as JavaScript, C++, or Xcode.
  • Experience working with AI and machine-learning tools.
  • Strong familiarity with the Apple ecosystem (hardware, software, and services).
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Native-level proficiency in a language other than English, with strong cultural awareness.
  • Experience in fitness industry.

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
