Your Responsibilities

Influence and implement internal communication omni-channel strategies to ensure consistent, transparent, and effective messaging enterprise-wide, and to specific organizations as needed.

Manage internal communication channels, including digital platforms, emails, and company-wide meetings.

Collaborate with business and HR leadership to execute company-wide and department-specific change management initiatives for organizational effectiveness.

Integrate the employee value proposition throughout the associate experience lifecycle by partnering with department leadership, talent and culture, and total rewards and recognition teams for optimal engagement programming.

Drive engagement initiatives that connect employees to the company's mission, values, and strategic goals.

Measure effectiveness of communication efforts through data analysis and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve strategies. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress and outcomes.

Responsible for project management, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.

Provides effective coaching and strong prioritization skills to build a high-performing team.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in internal communications, organizational effectiveness or related roles.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal skills, correspondence, writing and editorial ability) with strong follow-through and attention to detail.

Demonstrated experience with change management methodologies and project management tools. Change Management and/or PMI certifications a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint.

Proven track record of developing effective communication strategies and executing through digital communication and creative platforms (Teams, FirstUp, LinkedIn, Canva, etc.)

Ability to lead shifting priorities with agility and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Demonstrates key competencies to include communicating effectively, situational adaptability, and drives results.

Ability for travel up to 15%

Your Team

This is a leadership role that will report to the Sr. Director of Organizational Effectiveness, Communications and Engagement. You will have a direct report, peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Sr. Manager, Internal Communications and Engagement you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
