Marketing/Public Relations Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday
Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing/Public Relations Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advocacy, communications, and marketing, particularly in supporting small business initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in various marketing and outreach efforts to promote small business issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct advocacy calls to organizations, public interest groups, and congressional offices regarding small business issues.
• Maintain and update contacts and notes in the CRM system.
• Assist in developing and implementing social media and content strategies to increase awareness and engagement.
• Respond to inquiries from organizations and media contacts.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets and public interest groups.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate invitations.
• Participate in calls, document meeting notes, and update client profiles in the CRM.
• Manage email inboxes and general correspondence.
• Track projects and tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, OR at least two years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in writing for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Excellent networking skills with the ability to build relationships with organizations, media contacts, and public interest groups.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Experience:
• Marketing: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In-person
