Summary Description

The Marketing Intern assists in expanding Tri-Ms online presence and engagement through innovative social media strategies. Also assists with the planning, development, and implementation of all internal and external communications and marketing strategies prepared with the Marketing Manager to meet the strategic goals of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential:

  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
  • Assist in creating engaging content for our social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook).
  • Develop and schedule consistent social media posts using Tri-Ms brand voice and internal images/videos.
  • Assist in developing new social media channels and content formats to expand the company's online presence.
  • Be comfortable interacting with and filming employees on job sites.
  • Monitor social media trends, audience engagement, and competitor activity to suggest new strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns.
  • Assist in the analysis of social media performance and provide insights to optimize future content.
  • Performs special assignments as requested.

Job Requirements

Skills/Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in video production as it pertains to social media posting (app video editing) is a must.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere is a plus).
  • Basic graphic design and copywriting skills are a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic, self-confident and creative
  • Organized self-starter who can drive strategy forward independently, execute quickly and effectively prioritize work.
  • The desire to solve problems and proactively implement creative solutions.
  • Basic photography and photoshop skills.
  • Understanding of web-analytics and keyword planning tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8-hour shifts.
  • Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
  • Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry, and filing.
  • Vision adequate for computer use and reading.
  • Hearing adequate for phone use.
