Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• Minimum 3-5 years AutoCAD operations experience (specific knowledge of current version of AutoCAD Architecture preferred)
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes, procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction, including understanding plans and specifications.
• Effective communication and organization skills
• Software Skills – Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent Associate degree in Drafting or bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
• Knowledge and work experience in residential construction may reduce or replace this requirement.
Job Description
Job Overview: Responsible for the development of residential construction documents and other related Architectural Materials. Mentor less experienced staff through the product development process
Day-to-Day
Must have basic skills and knowledge in drafting of:
• Architectural Redline Markups.
• Architectural Plan Revisions.
• Draft working drawings from design development sketches.
• Ability to apply all company drafting standards and processes to daily work.
• Ensure quality control on all work completed.
• Self-monitor quality control on all work produced.
• Develop complete construction document sets for city submittal and bidding purposes.
• Maintain construction documents as assigned.
• Responsible for the more technical aspects of drawings.
