Granger Medical is looking for a full-time Prior Authorization Specialist at our West Valley City/Fairbourne location. Overview:

The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated and above all else compassionate. The Prior Authorization Specialist will be responsible for confirming patient insurance information and obtaining prior authorizations for scheduled procedures.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Confirms patient insurance information and obtains prior authorization as required

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computer background/knowledge preferred.

Knowledge of surgical procedures desirable.

Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Must possess tact, diplomacy and positive attitude

Education and Experience:

Computer background/knowledge preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Required lifting up to 10lbs

Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment

Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
