What We Seek:
As a Music Educator, you will instill a passion for music in our students by teaching fundamental concepts such as melody, rhythm, and various instruments. Your teaching will lay the groundwork for a lifelong appreciation of music. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement engaging music lessons tailored to different age groups. Collaborate with Fine Arts colleagues for school-wide performances and events. Provide innovative and high-standard music education to ensure student success. Utilize the BASIS Curriculum to create dynamic lessons and assessments that meet international educational benchmarks. Work alongside fellow educators to integrate music into interdisciplinary learning experiences. Offer tutoring to enhance students' musical skills and academic outcomes. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes responsibility and individuality among students. Essential Qualifications: Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for music education. Ability to engage students with challenging and relevant content. Proven skills in creating a supportive classroom community and building meaningful relationships. Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues. Willingness to accept constructive feedback and pursue professional growth. Creative approach to instructional strategies and classroom management. Collaborative spirit and adaptability in a team setting. Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in music or a related field. While a background in education is not required, the ability to obtain fingerprint clearance is essential. Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees (master's or Ph.D.) in music, a high GPA in your major, strong recommendations, and experience working with children in various capacities will enhance your application.
