Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform moderately complex quantitative analysis and gather, document, analyze, and draw conclusions from data.
  2. Develop strategies that support business needs for efficient and effective use of best practices.
  3. Identify requirements, approach, solutions, costs, risks, and options to address business needs.
  4. Lead implementation activities of initiatives, applications, or feature sets.
  5. Responsible for project documentation including definition, requirements, conversion, testing, implementation, and training.
  6. Prioritize initiatives by assessing business value for effort and develop options.
  7. Collaborate with vendors to understand product direction, release strategy, and timeframe.
  8. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products.
  9. Perform Desktop Geospatial analysis to locate Missing Pole Assets and Pole Identification.
  10. Validate Pole Asset location using tools such as ArcGIS Online, Map3D, Google Earth, and Lidar.
  11. Identify missing records in SCE Records Management Systems (SAP, cGIS, Circuit Mapping).
  12. Review field-captured photographic evidence and document key information.
  13. Consolidate research and field evidence and prepare documentation for System of Record corrections.
  14. Review work order documentation for specific key information.
  15. Research and make recommendations on correcting asset records with conflicting details.
  16. Utilize multiple information inputs to make logical conclusions and recommendations for remediation.
  17. Document and communicate logical conclusions to stakeholders.
  18. Train other employees on research processes and provide constructive feedback.
  19. Document data remediation processes and implement continuous improvement ideas.

Required Skills/Attributes:

  1. Five or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel Functions (e.g. Vlookup, IF).
  2. Experience working on/facilitating cross-functional project teams.
  3. Spatial capabilities including the ability to read maps and interpret multiple information inputs.
  4. Five or more years of experience in identifying problem statements, root cause analysis, solution review, tracking, and reporting.
  5. Experience in technical writing and process documentation.
  6. Bachelor's degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science with an emphasis in GIS.
