Summary:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to represent Allen Marine Tours, Alaskan Dream Cruises, and True Alaskan Tours in Juneau, AK. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and event promotions within the tourism industry. The intern will play a key role in capturing and sharing the guest experience while supporting marketing initiatives that enhance our brand presence

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating marketing materials, social media content, and promotional campaigns.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos for social media, website, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Help manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with audiences, and tracking performance.
  • Support content development focused on tour experiences, local history, and community stories.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, tours, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Work closely with the team to develop branding strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and SEO optimization.
  • Assist in executing digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, online ads, and analytics tracking.
  • Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, content creation, and social media.
  • Basic skills in photography, videography, and graphic design (Adobe Suite or Canva experience a plus).
  • Experience with website platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for Alaska’s history, tourism, and cultural storytelling.

  • Must pass a security background check and four panel, non-DOT, drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SEO, social media analytics, and online advertising.
  • Knowledge of video editing and drone photography.
  • Familiarity with Southeast Alaska’s tourism industry.
