We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Director to lead and enhance the musical worship experience within our church. This individual will collaborate closely with the Senior Pastor, choir, Praise Band, and other musicians to create meaningful and inspiring worship services. The Music Director will be responsible for selecting and preparing music, coordinating special events, and fostering a vibrant music ministry that engages the congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead musical worship in collaboration with the Senior Pastor, selecting choir and congregational music that aligns with the church’s mission and worship themes.
  • Direct the choir during Sunday services and rehearsals, ensuring a high level of musical excellence and spiritual impact.
  • Work with the Praise Band and other musical groups to organize special music performances and seasonal events.
  • Manage the acquisition of music and supplies within the approved budget and with Church Council oversight.
  • Assist in developing and recording new music for ministry outreach and special programs.
  • Recruit and mentor congregation members to participate in choirs, solos, and instrumental performances.
  • Coordinate with church volunteers and musicians to enhance worship services and support special musical projects.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and worship leadership.
  • Experience directing choirs, bands, or musical ensembles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with church leadership, volunteers, and musicians.
  • A passion for worship and a commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive music ministry.
  • While familiarity with the church’s vision, mission, values, and theology is preferred, all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salaried position with leave benefits following the successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
