Job Type Full-timeDescriptionAs part of the Advancement Team, the Digital Media Specialist (DMS) serves Immanuel Christian School by sharing the ICS brand in dynamic, engaging, and unique ways through creating, designing, managing, and publishing excellent photographs and video content. The Digital Media Specialist supports and assists in all Advancement team initiatives and events. The DMS position is full-time and reports directly to the Director of Advancement and the Communications Manager. JOB DUTIESPhotography•Daily photographs of school life: Capture high-quality photos of key ICS events, including after-school sporting events, for promotional and archival purposes. Including field trips, service projects, retreats, and travel. This role requires flexibility to cover events outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. •Portraits: athletic team pictures, portraits, and senior callouts•Events/Experiential Marketing: Provide event support for the Advancement Team.•Middle School Photography Class: Teach a twice weekly photography elective for middle school students and support yearbook initiative.•High School Photography Intern: Potential management of a high school photography intern to help facilitate daily school life photographs on HS campus. Media•Media: Manage and oversee all visual media efforts that will generate increased awareness of the school among all of its target constituencies, including parents, faculty/staff, grandparents, alumni, donors, and friends, as well as within the community. •Photography Sessions: Collaborate with the Communications Manager and the Advancement Director to set up, shoot, and publish pictures for marketing channels.•Videography: Collaborate with Communications Manager to produce, record, edit, and share video content.•Vidigami platform manager: implement, organize, and maintain our school's cloud-based photo management system.Communications•Storytelling: Effectively use photography in digital and physical usage to tell the ICS story.•Social media: Manage and execute strategic social media campaigns with timely, engaging content across multiple platforms.•Promotional videos: for events, initiatives, donors, and TravelTerm.Webmaster•Content: Communicate and collaborate extensively with the Communications Manager and key ICS staff to maintain updated content and make necessary changes to individual web pages within the website.•Maintain Responsive Design: Stay informed on new technologies and ensure the website and its products are always mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready. Interface with the ICS website design firm as needed.•Forms: Create and develop website forms in collaboration with the key ICS staff persons.RequirementsThe Digital Media Specialist will be a Christian who can clearly testify to having accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. This person should be able to effectively model an obedient Christian walk before students, faculty, staff, and the community in which we serve and be passionate about the mission of Christian education. The Visual Media Specialist should regularly attend an evangelically conservative local church.The following are essential skills: •Website Management: ICS will train those unfamiliar with website management to understand it and ensure its effectiveness as a highly effective marketing tool.•Technical Proficiency: Evidence of ability and knowledge in photography and videography, including but not limited to editing software and equipment.•Multimedia Design•Initiative: Take initiative to lead and solve problems.
