Senior Bridal Designer Date Revised: 2.14.2025 Job Objective and Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Bridal/Special Occasion Apparel Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating designs for our bridal/special occasion collections. Bridal/Special Occasion Designer responsibilities include understanding the latest bridal & fashion trends, conceptualizing and creating designs, selecting fabrics and embellishments, and working closely with production teams to ensure the final product meets the design specifications. Our ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of innovative designs and a keen eye for innovation and detail. They should also be familiar with the entire design process, from concept to production. Reports to EVP Sales & Brand Director. This role is based on site in Dallas, Texas. Key Responsibilities: Researching and identifying new trends in the bridal/fashion industry. Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Developing a concept for seasonal collections. Working with others in the design team to develop products to meet a brief. Sketching design ideas to present to merchants/editors/designers. Ensuring all designs align with the brand's identity and consumer expectations. Choosing and sourcing fabrics and trims. Working closely with a team of technical designers and manufacturers to ensure the garments are produced to specific standards. Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to merchants/buyers/editors. Understanding and knowledge of garment fitting and making alterations to designs if necessary. Participating in trade shows and fashion shows to present design ideas as applicable. Creating and developing bridal/special occasion designs based on current fashion trends and market research. Selecting fabrics, embellishments, colors, and patterns for each design. Creating and presenting design sketches and prototypes to team members and stakeholders. Collaborating with the production team to ensure designs are accurately brought to life. Making adjustments to designs based on feedback from product testing and market research. Working closely with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials for designs. Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging fashion trends. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in fashion design. Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design skills. Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and fashion trends. Proficient in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & CAD software. Ability to work well in a team environment. Exceptional creativity and attention to detail. Excellent communication, organization, & presentation skills. Multitasking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
