User Experience Designer Job at Velvet in Salt Lake City

Responsibilties

• Work closely with the product manager and engineering manager as a leadership team
• Work closely with engineers to refine the scope of features and ensure they are implemented on time
• Conduct user research through regular customer interviews and iterate on designs based on feedback
• Take ownership of the user experience and ensure that it aligns with our unique customer base
• Create and maintain a design system

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience conducting user research, including interviews and analyzing research data
• Basic understanding of web development to collaborate with engineers
• Self-starter who can take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment
• Located in Utah

Preferred

• Experience in or knowledge of the venture capital industry
• Familiarity with creating and maintaining design systems

Compensation

• Salary range: 80k+ (dependent upon experience)
• Health/Dental/Vision insurance and 401k plan (no company contribution)
• Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days WFH)
• Downtown SLC office
• Unlimited PTO
• Total estimated compensation: ~$110,000+
