We are seeking a Marketing Planning and Strategy Director who excels in critical thinking, operational optimization, and data-driven decision-making to drive workforce and location planning, strategy and operations for the Marketing organization. The successful candidate will leverage data insights to guide key business decisions and develop innovative ways to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall impact. In addition, they will be adept at understanding business requirements, identifying and applying standard methodologies to refine processes and tools, and ensuring streamlined operations including building models for growth and expansion.
Responsibilities
Headcount Management: guide and manage headcount against the hiring plans for a +2,500 person organization. Track progress against forecasts to ensure budget targets are met quarterly and functional teams are held accountable to their hiring plans and KPIs.
Headcount Reporting and Analytics: regularly audit headcount data in the system of record. Provide informative trending and analysis to marketing leadership and key partners
Data Hygiene: implement standard processes to maintain workforce and headcount data in a scalable way. Ensure positions and job requisitions are accurate and up-to-date on a consistent basis
Workforce Location Strategy: oversee the location hiring strategy for the marketing organization, liaising with cross-functional stakeholders to model the long-range plan aligned to enterprise-wide metrics and targets
Build Automation and dashboards to regularly provide key insights and metrics to marketing leadership: design, implement, and streamline current processes using Salesforce platforms to scale
Strong Relationship Leadership skills: work closely with business partners within marketing and across the wider organization to guide decision-making; effectively collaborate and communicate across matrix organizations
Governance and Enablement: document and update the processes and procedures that govern workforce and headcount management and planning. Provide training and enablement where necessary
Required Skills and Experience Detail oriented and outstanding at handling large datasets
Motivated, proactive self-starter able to work independently
Creative thinker that can generate innovative ideas and work collaboratively
Advanced Excel skills required. Must be quick to learn and adapt to new systems
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work and collaborate with worldwide teams
Ability to embrace change as the role evolves
8+ years of experience in Finance, Analytics, and/or Business Operations
