Job Description Summary
The Account-Based Marketing Manager is responsible for initiating the development of the Marketing activities required to develop each assigned account. His role is to efficiently support our Sales teams by identifying customer insights, understanding the environment, competition, and needs, and proposing a dedicated value proposition that allows us to differentiate. The objective of the Account-Based Marketing Manager is to gain a deep understanding of each account's needs, environment, and potential, supporting Key Account Managers and Account Managers with new business opportunity identification, proposing dedicated and competitive value offers, and employing a tactical approach to develop the business.
This mission requires a servant leadership attitude, ensuring strong collaboration, teamwork, and full alignment with Sales teams and Leaders to effectively meet business objectives following their priorities.
The Account-Based Marketing Manager must have a good understanding of market evolution, supported by the global marketing team, and have the mission to translate strategy into a dedicated tactical plan for each account (5P), executing an omnichannel strategy and supporting commercial excellence.
Responsibilities
Support Sales Teams with Account-Based Marketing:
In collaboration with the Sales Management, Platforms, and Global Marketing, implement the annual Accounts Marketing Plans, including the conversion of the marketing plan into Key Driver Goals with clear ownership and timelines.
Support Sales teams in achieving their budget targets, addressing the specific needs of the Key Account Manager.
Provide transversal expertise across different Therapeutic Areas, presenting our global offer to customers.
Conduct market segmentation, opportunity definition, value-proposition definition, competitive analysis, and objection handling.
Facilitate sales enablement and Go to Market tactics.
Assist the Key Account Manager in setting up action planning by account.
Ensure customer targeting with long-term pipeline management based on Molecules Mapping and Collection Initiative.
Implement an omnichannel communication strategy and account-centric digital marketing approach to effectively drive demand in the accounts.
Deliver a solid training plan for our Sales teams to pitch the value of our solutions.
Voice of Customers to be shared with Global Marketing and Platforms:
Work with the Customer Success team to share the Voice of Customers with Global functions to assemble unmet needs and market trends, identifying the most impactful technical engagement needs for future developments and innovation.
About you
Education:
Minimum Master's Degree in Marketing or MBA.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in operational Marketing.
Experience in strategic account marketing to enterprise accounts preferred.
We seek an experienced individual with a consistent record in developing marketing tactics for major, global accounts, preferably in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.
Experience working closely with sales for projects or campaigns or experience training sales.
Skills:
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities, as well as marketing expertise in the Pharma business. Crucial to success in this role will be the ability to translate strategy into execution plans and secure the commercial success of our Global Accounts.
Strong presentation, marketing skills, and business acumen.
Demonstrated leadership skills and cross-functional participation.
Travel:
30-40% domestic and international.
