Database Designer Position
Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Database Designer to support a Navy program on-site in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will be part of a team focused on solving technical problems and should be comfortable working independently. Responsibilities:
Develop software and database solutions using subject matter expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, MVC, and Blazor, backed by an Oracle Enterprise RDBMS. Support current programming languages (C#, JQuery, Javascript, JSON, Python) and recommend new technologies based on industry trends. Convert existing data elements to align with customer Database Design Description (DBDD) and Entity Relation Diagrams (ERDs) to ensure accurate data fills of products. Maintain, secure, and document existing and newly developed software code. Test, verify, and validate data products and data management applications. Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and related documentation to support Fleet requirements and IO capabilities. Utilize Azure DevOps to manage Kanban boards, repositories, testing, and pipelines in two-week sprints. Qualifications:
5+ years of demonstrated experience in software development, preferably in Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) development and SQL maintenance. 2+ years of experience in MS .NET Application development/maintenance. 2+ years of experience in XML development, including the use of XML schemas and XSLT stylesheets for parsing and importing external data products into an Oracle RDBMS. DOD 8570 CSWF certification: Security+ CE. Ability to attain a MS .NET Framework certification within 6 months. Eligibility to work in the United States and obtain an Active Government Top Secret Clearance. Benefits:
